Lady Augusta Gregory letters, 1915.

The collection consists of four letters, each from 1915, including: three to Mrs. [Ellen] Duncan [curator of the Municipal Gallery of Modern Art], 23 June, asking about the construction of a gallery, with a passing mention of Yeats; 2 July, about plans for the Gallery, with passing reference to Yeats and others; 26 Sept., about lists of pictures they exchanged, mentioning Yeats would be up to see her Thursday; and one to Miss Jenny Hicks , 3 Nov., reassuring her that a play would not cause a "tumult" in the theater.

Isabella Augusta Persse (1852-1932) married Sir William Henry Gregory (1817-1892). After her husband's death, Lady Gregory became an author and playwright.
